"The workshop where Aleksandr Rodchenko and Varvara Stepanova worked now has five artists working and living there; my husband Nikolay Lavrentiev and myself, my son, his wife and my granddaughter, Katya. Each of us has our own sphere of interest but in our work we are connected by invisible lines to the past. One strives to preserve the clarity of style, inventiveness and originality. Some of us work in photography, some in design, some with the book. Yet often the different art forms and domains are interweaved in the same way as they are in life and culture.
